How we got started building Real Geeks sites.

My wife is a real estate agent, and she joined Real Geeks in 2013 after we explored various IDX platforms, WordPress solutions, and other “done-for-you” websites. She was exhausted from juggling roles as a web designer and builder; her true passion was selling real estate. So, I transitioned her site to the Real Geeks platform, keeping all content and pages exactly the same. I didn’t add or change anything, and her registrations doubled, if not tripled, with the same amount of site traffic!

Real Geeks, impressed by her success, invited her to share a review, which remains featured on their website. This review caught the attention of other Real Geeks users, who admired her site and reached out to her for my contact information. In her review, she dubbed me her “Small Business Technology Consultant”!

I discussed this with Jeff Manson, the co-founder of Real Geeks, who offered me a spot on their “Virtual Builders” list. I agreed, expecting only a couple of projects each month. I was the Chief Information Officer for the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, a position I held for 15 years with no intention of leaving. However, the referrals poured in, and the demand for Real Geeks sites grew exponentially. Eventually, I left my “day job” to focus full-time on building Real Geeks sites.

I wanted to find a way to make building a Real Geeks site easier for agents. A way agents could make their sites “stand out” from all the rest. We came up with different packages for agents, teams, and even brokerages. We added Premium Homepage Designs, and many other products and services to help Real Geeks users succeed.

To date, we have successfully created over 8,500 sites, and we all truly enjoy working with the Real Geeks platform!
